Have a newsworthy cocktail hour with Vf Daily’s current-events-inspired concoctions. Today’s cocktail was mixed up by Kevin Felker, the beverage director and co-owner of Jo’s Restaurant in New York City (264 Elizabeth Street, 212-966-9640), in honor of the Fourth of July. America’s Cocktail 2 oz. Eagle Rare 10-year-old, single-barrel bourbon 3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice 1 teaspoon raw sugar 3 raspberries 5 mint leaves Muddle all ingredients, shake over ice, and strain over crushed ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a mint sprig. »
