Baby Honor Will Join Alba At Work

15 October 2008 12:00 PM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

New mum Jessica Alba plans on taking daughter Honor to work with her when she begins filming An Invisible Sign Of My Own - because she doesn't want to miss out on her baby's development.

The Fantastic Four beauty and her husband Cash Warren welcomed little Honor in July, and the new movie will be Alba's first since giving birth.

Alba, who will play a mathematics genius in a new film, says, "To be honest with you, it's tough (being away from Honor) - and if it was any other movie I wouldn't be doing it.

"It's difficult to spend any time away from her."

But she refuses to spend hours apart from her little bundle of joy - so Honor will join her mum on set.

The actress adds to People.com, "I love my daughter and she's going to be with me every day on the set."

Alba won the role after Ugly Betty commitments forced America Ferrera to pull out.

Madonna, Lindsay, Jessica and More Get Filthy and Wise

14 October 2008 6:00 AM, PDT | From Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news

Madonna took a break from her Sticky and Sweet tour and put on some crazy gun-heeled shoes to premiere her directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom in NYC last night. Lindsay Lohan must have enjoyed her Sunday night at the material girl's show, because she went right from her leggings launch to the red carpet while Samantha headed back to La amid rumors of trouble in their relationship. Dolce and Gabbana cohosted the event leading to some decked out ladies like a gorgeous Jessica Alba out for the night without Cash and a glowing pregnant in purple Naomi Watts. Chace cleaned up nicely for the show instead of staying home to watch the new Gossip Girl on TV. While Madonna's husband has been busy promoting his own new movie, RocknRolla, he didn't make it to the premiere with his wife. It looks like a certain famous Yankee stayed away from Madonna's big night too.

In anticipation of the theatrical release of Madonna's directorial debut, "Filth and Wisdom" has been brought to New York City to celebrate its premiere. Hosted by The Cinema Society and Dolce and Gabbana, the comedy drama held a star-studded special screening event at the Sunshine Cinema on Monday, October 13, in New York City.

Hitting the red carpet solo without her director husband Guy Ritchie, Madonna came in wearing a conservative black dress completed with a pair of black stilettos. Of her movie, the legendary pop singer who is circling the globe for her Sticky & Sweet tour shared, "I'm so happy with the finished product. Writing it was actually my favorite part because it is so different from everything I do and deep down inside I'm really a writer."

Aside from Madonna, the event was marked with the attendance of many top Hollywood A-listers.

Ferrera's Emmys Wardrobe Malfunction

1 October 2008 7:01 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera almost flashed the entire audience at the Emmy Awards after a wardrobe malfunction left her feeling exposed.

The actress' designer gown fell apart as she sat waiting to take the stage to present an award with her TV show co-star Vanessa Williams at last month's glitzy ceremony.

She explains, "I was sitting in my seat and they (planners) come out and get you when it's your turn to go backstage.

"I was wearing this dress with a bustle underneath to make it fluffy. I stood up and it just slipped out from me, the whole skirt. I thought, 'Oh my God, I'm naked underneath.' I ran backstage and asked an intern for a safety pin."

But two fellow actresses came to the rescue: "I then ran into the women's dressing room, and this woman said, 'Can I help you?' I looked up and it's Julia Louis-Dreyfus. And then Catherine Keener came along and the intern came back with a safety pin.

"So I'm standing at a mirror and Catherine Keener and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are at my butt with a safety pin. I made it onstage and no one was the wiser."

The ladies were bursting with color and sparkle at last night's Emmy Awards. Christina Applegate looked positively radiant and was the talk of the night — smiley, happy and healthy. Heidi Klum went dramatic while Eva Longoria was all tied up in a bow with Tony on her arm. Debra Messing was one of Fab's best dressed but what do you think? Newcomer to the awards Mad Men's January Jones is a showstopper already and Buzz and I were lucky enough to catch up with the cast in the press room after the show's big win for Best Drama Series‚ check out all the winners here. Emmy Awards Reality Hosts Get Black and Blue and Boo

21 September 2008 7:05 AM, PDT | From Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news

Oprah wowed in red as she opened the show after the cool What's my line? clip but unfortunately following her was the reality hosts talking about nothing. It was almost as uncomfortable as watching Ricky Gervais ask for his Emmy back from Steve Carell. Yes it was funny but I was getting a bit worried that Steve was going to cry or beat the crap out of him. Other quick thoughts: Steve Martin, Genius. Josh Groban, surprisingly cool! Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth, favorite presenting couple. Cruel joke that was perfect — making reality TV host category wait until after the commercial break to see who won. Desperate Housewives all dolled up. Yay Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin and Mad Men! Click here for all the winners from last night. As for next year, let's hope the Emmys settle on one host since this year's group was like an experiment gone bad.

Four-time Emmy nominee Mary-Louise Parker may play a pot-dealing mom on Showtime's Weeds, but celebrating her own success with her real-life mom and dad makes it satisfying for the actress. "The best part is my parents," Parker, 44, told People at Saturday's La Confidential pre-Emmy party, which she hosted. "I get to call them if they don't know already, but usually they know before me. That's absolutely the best part." America Ferrera Claims 'The Hills' and 'Gossip Girl' Condition People to Be Mean

13 September 2008 12:55 AM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

Gracing the cover of Seventeen magazine's October 2008 issue, America Ferrera has become talk of the town, not because of her pose but for the comment she made about hit TV series "The Hills" and "Gossip Girl," making both as examples of bad shows that can condition people to be mean. She, however, still shows positive attitude towards the cast, claiming Blake Lively as a wonderful friend of hers.

Being asked by the magazine on "Gossip Girl" being a bad influence, she openly outed her opinion, saying "Close, genuine female relationships are not what generally gets depicted in movies and TV shows. Like, if you're watching The Hills or 90210, all the backstabbing shapes the way we act - you go to school, and you think your job is to find a sworn enemy and be jealous of each other." She, nevertheless, went on adding "I mean, I love Blake [Lively]; she's a wonderful friend of mine,
