If you've been obsessed with Dexter lately, you are not alone. "I'm nerding out right there with you!" Jennifer Carpenter (aka Mrs. Michael C. Hall) tells us, while admitting that she stuck around the set to watch the last few scenes of the finale because, "I couldn't wait to find out!" The first of Dexter's final two episodes airs this Sunday on Showtime, and according to Jennifer (who kicks serious gluteus maximus as her real-life husband's onscreen sis, Debra Morgan), the fourth season finale is well worth the wait—though you might need to invest in a little psychotherapy after it. "I hope you have a good time talking to your therapists about it because... »

I think there are a couple of new episodes of Dexter before the holiday hiatus and the newest one appears to be airing on December 6th. Showtime has released a synopsis and several promo photos for the episode, which we have for you below.
Dexter's worst fears have been realized. Because of Debra's unrelenting pursuit, Miami Metro is just one step away from discovering the identity of the Trinity Killer. And Dexter can't let that happen.
Arthur's arrest would not only deprive Dexter of a satisfying kill, it would also expose the secret life Dexter's been leading in his pursuit of this monster. Dexter must take drastic action to buy himself time to deal with Trinity in his own fashion. Meanwhile, Rita decides to confide in Dexter, which doesn't go as well as she'd hoped.
Laguerta and Batista's breach of ethics paints them into a very tight corner. »

After Episode 10 of Dexter Season 4, I'm sure the world will agree when I say, "John Lithgow is freakin' creepy!" We've all seen Dexter villains over the past few years. First there was the Ice Truck Killer. Next came the hunt for the Bay Harbor Butcher, and Dexter's sadistic AA crush Lila. Season 3 brought us "The Skinner" and Dexter's comrade-in-arms, Miguel Prado. Now, we have Trinity aka Arthur Mitchell. I don't think any Dexter (Michael C. Hall) villain has ever been more fascinating or complex than Arthur Mitchell. Not only does Trinity have daddy issues, but Arthur also reenacts the death of his sister, mother and father in a peace bringing ritual. Now we've learned that he also murders a 10 year old boy as part of his ritual, symbolically preserving his own childhood innocence in cement. Arthur's guise is the simple school teacher and pastor, with the ... »

The Dexter season 4 finale is rapidly approaching, which means the final confrontation between Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Trinity/Arthur (John Lithgow) isn't far away either. After tonight's revelation that Trinity's little girl, Christine, may be in on the action, who knows what to expect!
For those who missed tonight's episode of Dexter, the indications last week that it was Christine who had shot Deb and Lundy paid off in stunning fashion. Not only did she do the deed, she is Trinity's daughter! The fact that she may be aware of what her old man is up to puts a completely new spin on the Trinity story, one that Dexter doesn't know is coming.
If you saw the coming attractions for next week's episode you are also aware that there is a fourth kill in Trinity's cycle, one that Dexter was not aware of. If his kills represent sister, mother, »

What would a Thanksgiving feast for a serial killer entail? Unless we're talking about Jeffrey Dahmer or Hannibal Lecter, the answer might be less-obvious.
Showtime has revealed two new clips from the forthcoming "Hungry Man" episode of Dexter, the Thanksgiving week installment of the popular series, airing Thursday night, November 22 at 9pm Et.
For most people, Thanksgiving is a time for traditions and family. But for Dexter, it's an opportunity to get closer to his most dangerous adversary yet. As Dexter gains insight into Arthur's psychology by studying those closest to him, he finds himself drawn into a bizarre and twisted world. Meanwhile, Rita has her hands full preparing dinner for a packed house, including a few unexpected guests. Batista gets closure on an old case, while Debra uses the holiday to continue her investigation of the Trinity Killer, a pursuit which threatens her brother's safety and brings to light »

The main plot of this week's Dexter episode appeared to mirror the issue the show is currently having.
Dexter went from trying to kill Trinity to actually saving his life, as Arthur was prepared to commit suicide until his friend/enemy made a last-second save. You can read all about these developments and more in our most recent episode guide.
The same back-and-forth seems to be going on with the series itself. It's not sure where it wants to go with the Dexter/Trinity relationship.
For the majority of "Road Kill," Dexter was stuck on the issue of remorse. Did he feel badly or not after killing an innocent last week? The answer, via Dexter's internal monologue, appeared to be no, but his reaction after learning of his mistake was a resounding yes.
The most intriguing aspect of this season's storyline is how Dexter tries to forecast his own future via Arthur's life. »

On Dexter, everyone's favorite serial killer has developed an unusual relationship with Arthur Mitchell; aka "The Trinity Killer."
Dexter very much wants to avenge his sister's shooting and place Trinity on his carving table. But he also wants to learn from Trinity.
After all, this is a man that's lived as both a family man and a mass murderer for three decades. Therefore, fans are asking: Is Dexter more interested in Trinity as a mentor or a nemesis?
"Both, as is often the case with Dexter," Michael C. Hall said when asked this question by E! News. "I think the only answer I can give you is both. What's really fun about it is Dexter as an equal amount of reverence and disdain for the character and those things are commingled in the relationship."
We can't wait to see how it all unfolds. For a sneak peek at what's ahead, »
